The visitors from the manaiakalani clan

Today we welcome visitors from the Manaiakalani schools in Auckland.
The whole school welcomed them with a powhiri. They gave koha which was
exciting. Then after that the Kaiarahi was allowed to show them around the school.
I was so proud to show them our school but it was pretty embarrassing saying
my pepeha in front of all the principals.

The land of ice

The land of ice.

One morning I woke up and it was so freezing I didn't wanna get outta bed. So I got up and kept my blanket on and everything I touched was so freezing. I didn't bother looking outside because I knew it was already gonna be even more freezing. Before I started making breakfast I'd thought I should might as well just put some warm cloths on so I did. After that I cooked me some nice warm breakfast so I can warm my body up. All I had was some nice steak and eggs with spaghetti beautiful. When I finished I wanted to go do some shopping so I chucked some warm gears on to go for a walk to new world. As soon as I touched the door nob it was so freezing even though I had my gloves on. I haven't seen the outside of my house this morning cause I couldn't be bothered opening the certain's. So as soon as I opened the door everything was ice the Ice was everywhere. I looked over my neighbors house even his car had ice on it the ice even popped his tire lol. When I finished shopping I went back home and jumped in my spa then this happened. I woke up and it was all a dream. I looked outside and it was sunny as.

Room 6 Rocket Test Launch

This is our wonder project test launch. On the first day of our wonder project
we had a man called Pete come into our class and teach us about rockets. He
told us all about what a rocket should have and not have. The next week he
came in he told us everything about the safety rules around a rocket/bottle rocket.
The next week we all had to bring some 1.5 litre bottles to start making our rocket.
We made our rockets out of 1.5 litre bottles, Cardboard for the fins and ice cream
lids for the fins. A few weeks later we did some test flights with our rockets then
this is the results. This isn't all of them sadly our one wasn't in this because our
one went the highest lol.

Te Reo week 7

This term we been learning our Te Reo with Whaea Whetu. I think its been fun doing these lessons in class.

My weekend

In the weekends on Saturday we had a game of soccer up at Bay of Islands College. We versed this team from Kerikeri but I forgot there name. Anyways the first half was pretty intense we manged to block all there goals and they blocked all our goals. In the second half they scored 2 goals but in the last minute I managed to score a corner goal. In the end they still won by 1 nil but I think it was a pretty alright game for me. On Sunday I went with my cousin Pardrae to Simpson park to do some Kapa Haka we had to recap on all the haka's he taught us in the past year. After that we had a feed then went outside to play some touch. We saw these kids riding on there motorbikes and they crashing into each other on purpose. Then I scored a few tries in touch then we finished off and then went home.
